Affinity Groups bring youth and adults together through shared interests.

It is through these areas of interest that strong bonds are formed and mentoring relationships can blossom.

Below are the Affinity Groups we are offering this summer.

baking Delights

This class will teach any aspiring young chef how to make your own pie crust, fresh bread and other baked goods!

Date: Thursdays, July 6th-August 10th

Time: 10a-1p

Ages: 12-17

Location: Off-campus

Fee: $15/session




Culinary Curiosity

This class will teach you how to properly use cooking utensils while appreciating the wonderful world of planning and preparing a meal.  

Date: Saturdays, June 17th-August 19th (no group 7/1 or 7/22)

Time: 11a-1p

Ages: 10-17

Location: YC Campus

Fee: $25



"Placer in the pan" gold mining expedition

Our new Affinity Experience  – “Placer in the Pan” Gold Panning Expedition with Matt Gunn. There will be a one day workshop that will cover the history of gold panning, the basics in how to pan, and the general safety rules. After the workshop, there will be a field trip to an actual gold panning claim where students will be able to practice what they just learned. Matt says there is gold in them thar hills! Deadline to register is July 7th.
